Foodie Friday wins with Grilled Kabobs

Foodie Friday is back!! I love Fridays anyway, but adding delicious food to the mix is even better!! Now that the weather has turned gorgeous, its time to light those grills!! Charcoal grills are my favorite, letting the smell of the charcoal mingle with the food is amazing (and of course opening all the windows so my house smells like a cookout never hurts).

This super easy and yummy meal only takes minutes to prepare! Here is what you need:

  • Peppers – multi-colored ones make your kabob pop with color
  • Your favorite meats – we used medium Shrimp and Boneless Ribs
  • Onion
  • Mushrooms
  • Your favorite seasoning – I used Cajun

Once you get your items cubed and ready to put on your skewers, the fun begins! If you have kids, you can get the entire family involved! Its great for patterns and mixing! Once you get the desired amount of food on your skewer, season and throw those delicious sticks of meat on the grill! Once cooked to your preference, get ready for some fantastic feasting!

Of course, you have to pair it with sides. Unfortunately, I didn’t get pictures of my sides, as I have boys in my house, and food disappears faster than a frog on a hot sidewalk in July. I paired our skewers with potato salad, fruits (cherries, strawberries, kiwi, and raspberries), and deviled eggs.  Food is a huge deal around here, so the healthier the better, especially for growing boys!

Happy Eating!!
