Let’s Get Ready for Mardi Gras

Are you ready? Are you ready to “Laissez le bon temps rouler?!” Tuesday is Mardi Gras, “Fat Tuesday.” The Lenten season begins on Wednesday and will continue for 40 days until the celebration of Easter.
Today I’m sharing with you two crafts of Mardi Gras past and fun ideas to enjoy during the pre-Lenten celebration.
The colors of Mardi Gras are typically green, yellow, purple and/or gold and black. Check out this Mardi Gras mask we made! Click on the image to get the full tutorial.

Depending on where you are from you enjoy the holiday so much you decorate your home in the colors of Mardi Gras. We made a fun kid friendly Mardi Gras wreath. Using a reusable wreath we added all of the decorations with pins so we could reuse the wreath!

If you’ve ever been to a Mardi Gras or Gasparilla parade save your beads to use next year in your crafts! That’s what we did! Again click on the images to access the full tutorial.
Mardi Gras is a fun and exciting holiday. You can enjoy fun crafts, delicious foods and desserts (hello King’s Cake!) and make new traditions with your family.

Will you be celebrating Mardi Gras this year?
