Mardi Gras Party February 10th

Did you know Mardi Gras and Carnival are the same celebration?  Mardi Gras is commonly thought of as the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday but is in fact an entire season stretching from Epiphany (January 6) through the beginning of Lent.  Fat Tuesday is a time to indulge in decadent foods and libations before the fasting and preparation of the Lent season.  Think New Orleans or Brazil are the only places to fulfill your Mardi Gras cravings?  Think again! Freedom Crossing at Ft Bliss is hosting a Mardi Gras Party February 10, 2018 from 2:00-6:00pm http://freedomcrossingatfortbliss.com/event/mardi-gras-masquerade/.

This family friendly event has live bands, samba dancers, Brazilian drums, Cajun food and more!  You can check out You Tube for a video showcasing last year’s event https://youtu.be/yYjI0O1q_uA.  If you are new to Ft Bliss you may not be familiar with Freedom Crossing https://freedomcrossingatfortbliss.com/.

It is a one of a kind open air shopping center located in the heart of main post.  It is home to several restaurants, recently welcoming World of Beers and retail stores such as Game Stop and Under Armor.  The open plan allows for events like the Mardi Gras Party to happen because of comfortable outdoor seating, fire pits for those cool desert nights and lawn games the whole family can enjoy.  If you haven’t had a chance to visit Freedom Crossing the Mardi Gras Party is a perfect excuse to get out and experience one of Ft Bliss’s best amenities.
