Mojito featuring Captain Morgan Rum

Happy Friday! As we head into the holiday weekend, it is time to get the party started early! We are spending this weekend remembering the brave men and women who have given their all for this country. Of course there will be BBQ’s and get togethers, but we have to remember the reason that we hold this holiday close to our hearts.

This holiday weekend, we decided to spend it more low key. We wanted to remember the brothers and sisters that we have served with, and have some quality family time. So we turned down all the requests we got for outings, and decided to just spend the weekend together. Even though we are not going out with friends, it does not mean that we cannot light a fire in the backyard and reminisce through stories and friends that are gone to soon. So pull up an empty chair and pour a Mojito that will not be touched as your family sits down to look back on the many souls who have gone to soon.

I am a lover of all things classic. I enjoy the classic movies and actors (who does NOT love John Wayne), and of course classic looks and drinks. Simple, classy, and easy. The Mojito is a perfect and classy drink, and Captain Morgan® White Rum is a perfect fit. Kick your feet back this weekend and enjoy simple.

Here is what you will need:

• 1 oz Captain Morgan® White Rum
• 2 oz Stirrings Simple Mojito Mix
• splash of club soda
• mint
• lime wedge

Directions:

1. Mix all ingredients in a glass.
2. Enjoy!
