Newcomer Orientation February 14th

Date: Feb 14, 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Last Frontier Community Activity Center Building 1044 Apple Street Fort Wainwright, Alaska

New to the Arctic Interior of Alaska?! Coming to such a drastic environmental change can be a little scary, so Army Community Service (ACS), has a newcomers’ orientation just for you!

As a part of the Newcomers Orientation, the Information Fair is a great way for incoming Soldiers, Family Members, and DoD Civilians to learn what Fort Wainwright and the surrounding communities have to offer. Representatives from many local businesses, agencies, and organizations are present to help you familiarize yourself to your new home.

The Newcomers Orientation brief is mandatory for all incoming Soldiers to the installation and takes place the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. But spouses, families, and DOD civilians are welcome and encouraged to join!!

**Before attending the Newcomers Orientation, take a look at the Garrison Commander’s Welcome Letter and Information Packet given to your soldier when in processing. The packet will help orient you to Fort Wainwright and the surrounding communities before you attend the official orientation.
