The Georgia State Railroad Museum and Savannah Children’s Museum is hosting one of the largest annual holiday events in the lowcountry on Saturday, December 9th from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Join us for the Savannah Santa Train at the GA Railroad Museum for some wonderful family fun! Located at 655 Louisville Rd., Savannah, GA.
Guests can build their own holiday wonderland with Snapology, enjoy caroling, help design a banner for local hospital patients, create holiday t-shirts with Maven Makers, interact with arctic animals from Oatland Island Wildlife Center, participate in a “Holidays Around the World” scavenger hunt, learn how to shoulder a musket at the Toy Soldier Training Station, as well as other festive seasonal activities!! And let’s not forget that you get to take a ride on a steam locomotive and share a Christmas wish with Santa Claus!!
There will be donation stations posted for the Salvation Army and if you would like to participate in the Angel Tree Donation Drive, please bring an unwrapped, new gift that will be given to a less fortunate child in our community.
Free donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate will be provided and there will be gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches available for purchase from The Big Cheese food truck as well as sweet treats from Leopold’s Ice Cream (the best ice cream in Savannah!)
A 15% discount will be offered for holiday shopping at the Railroad gift shop.
