Aloha! Do any of y’all have kids that are getting ready to go to college next year or have kids who are already attending college? If so, I want to share information regarding an awesome scholarship opportunity!
The Fisher House Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides assistance to service members and their families, created The Scholarships for Military Children Program in 2001. Eligibility for the program is determined using the DEERS database system, and applicants should ensure that they, as well as their sponsor, are enrolled in the DEERS database system and have a current military dependent ID card. Eligible military children may apply for one of the 700 available $2,000 scholarship grants. Who couldn’t use an extra $2,000 for college assistance?!
You have to act fast though! The deadline to turn in your application is this Friday, February 16th. You can apply at any commissary in Hawaii! For more information visit www.hawaiiarmyweekly.com/2018/02/01/commissary-scholarships-deadline-is-feb-16/.
Y’all, don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity! Check out the website, gather all the proper paperwork, and have your child get started on that essay question ASAP!
