Whale Watching!

The boat ride lasted for an eternity BUT the END result was well worth the wait!

The warmth of the Okinawan waters provides ideal breeding grounds for the whales and, luckily for us, a great place to watch the enormous mammals in action.

Doped up with Dramamine, being splashed with water and hitting the waves like we were in a race was my feelings about two weekends ago. BUT…..I would have to say that seeing those whales was such AN AMAZING experience!
I have NEVER had such an exhilarating feeling in my life…besides giving birth.

Living in OKINAWA, JAPAN has many beautiful breath taking activities and this is ONE of them. Since we are relatively NEW to the island, my family is open to ideas on what we can see and do.

If you are EVER in Okinawa or for a visit…this is a DEFINITE MUST SEE!

We purchased our tickets through Kadena Outdoor Recreation and headed to the Kadena Marina for our whale watching experience. We were given an option of leaving at 730am on a boat that would be for ONLY us or getting on a boat that was practically full.

Of course, we are an EARLY bird family so we decided to get the boat ALL to ourselves and hit the SEA.

Here below are a few pictures to enjoy:

PLEASE if you are EVER in Okinawa….February-March time frame…GO WHALE WATCHING!
