Elevate Your Football Party with Nabisco!

It’s that time of year again! Football season is so exciting to me. I just love seeing everyone’s team spirit, and let’s not forget about the parties and food. Whether you are hosting family or friends we’ve got two fun and easy recipes that will drive any crowd wild. The first is an appetizer that is sure to be a hit and the next is a dessert that will surely satisfy your sweet tooth so be sure to try these quick and easy game-changing recipes to make your party’s snacks as memorable as the game.

RITZ TOASTED CHIPS SHEET PAN NACHOS

PREP TIME: 12 MIN TOTAL TIME: 19 MIN SERVINGS: 10

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pkg. (8.1 oz.) RITZ Toasted Chips Original
  • 1½ cups finely shredded cheddar-Jack cheese blend, divided
  • ¾ cup rinsed drained canned black beans
  • 1 container (12 oz.) pulled pork with barbecue sauce (about 1-1/2 cups), warmed
  • 2 EACH plum tomatoes and green onions, chopped
  • 1 small avocado, chopped
  • 1 small fresh jalapeño pepper, sliced
  • ¼ cup coarsely chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 Tbsp. barbecue sauce
  • ¼ cup sour cream

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. Spread RITZ Chips onto large parchment-covered rimmed baking sheet sprayed with
    cooking spray. Top with layers of 1 cup cheese, beans, pulled pork and remaining cheese.
  3. Bake 8 to 10 min. or until cheese is melted.
  4. Top with tomatoes, onions, avocados, peppers and cilantro. 
  5. Drizzle with barbecue sauce; top with sour cream.
  6. Serve warm.

RECIPE TIPS

  • Chicken Nachos – Substitute 1-1/2 cups shredded rotisserie chicken for the pulled pork. Combine the chicken with an additional 1/3 cup barbecue sauce, then heat it in the microwave or on top of the stove before using as directed.
  • Substitute – Substitute 1/2 cup guacamole for the chopped avocado.

After finishing off the appetizer you will hardly be able to wait to enjoy dessert. This no-bake ice cream cake recipe features layers of chocolate chip cookies and ice cream in a football shape for a treat your team is sure to love.

CHIPS AHOY! FOOTBALL ICE CREAM CAKE

PREP TIME: 6 MIN TOTAL TIME: 45 MIN SERVINGS: 5

INGREDIENTS:

  • 36 CHIPS AHOY! Cookies, divided
  • 1½ qt. (6 cups) vanilla ice cream, softened
  • 1 cup ready-to-spread chocolate frosting
  • 1½ cups thawed frozen whipped topping, divided
  • 2 Tbsp. green sprinkles

Directions:

  1. Arrange 18 cookies in football shape on large platter or serving tray. Cover with layers
    of ice cream and remaining cookies.
  2. Microwave frosting in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 20 sec. or just until softened. (Do
    not microwave frosting until melted.) Stir until frosting is of glaze-like consistency. If
    necessary, microwave frosting an additional 3 to 5 sec. or until of desired consistency. 
    Immediately spread frosting over cookies, leaving 1-inch border around edge.
  3. Reserve 2 Tbsp. of the whipped topping for later use. 
  4. Spoon remaining whipped topping into decorating bag fitted with desired tip. Use to
    pipe whipped topping over border around edge of cake.  
  5. Spoon reserved whipped topping into decorating bag fitted with round tip.  Use to
    pipe seams and laces on top of football.  
  6. Freeze 2 hours or until firm.  
  7. Top with sprinkles before serving.

RECIPE TIPS:

  • Variation – Prepare recipe using light vanilla ice cream and frozen reduced-fat whipped topping.
  • Note – If you don’t have a second decorating bag, you can instead spoon the reserved whipped topping into a small resealable plastic bag. Seal the bag, then cut a small piece off one bottom corner of the bag.  Use to pipe the seams and laces onto the top of the football.
  • Substitute – Substitute white ready-to-spread frosting for the whipped topping.
  • Substitute – Prepare recipe using your favorite flavor of ice cream, such as chocolate, chocolate chip or cookie dough.
