Many military families unfortunately cannot always go home for the holidays, whether it is because they just PCS’d, or they cannot afford the travel expenses, or maybe even just started a family. However, I think most of us all have been there once or twice before where we spend the holidays at the current duty station we are stationed at instead of at home with family. But you know what, that is okay, too! Sometimes it is nice to not go anywhere for a holiday, or maybe create a little vacation of the holiday with your significant other. For those looking to have a special date night, or a way to remember the holidays together this year who are not traveling home for the holidays there are a few events happening that you could attend.
Christmas Eve at The Del is happening again this year! This Christmas Eve you can come to the Hotel del Coronado and have Christmas Dinner there from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. They are celebrating 130 years of A Christmas Legend. There will be holiday decorations and live music along with a four-course meal.
Children (6-10) $55
Children 5 and under a free
If you want a more intimate and alone time with your significant other than the Jingle Bell Roast is a better fit. Located at Hotel del Coronado they will be offering the Jingle Bell Roast from December 18th until December 27th. The Jingle Bell Roast cost $125 for a one-hour firepit rental with add-on menu options. You will have a private beach side fire with Santa hats. One of my favorite fire foods, franks, along wit smores and so much more! They are even open for Christmas as well! SO if you would like to have Christmas dinner by a fire and the beach this is the perfect opportunity.
Reservations can be made at this link.
