In our house, there is nothing better than a a warm piece of cherry pie, but sometimes I do not have the band width to even pull out the premade pie crust and bake. Lucky for me, I found this great recipe when I was in college and use it whenever I wake up and I’m craving a comforting dessert that will be ready by dinner. For this Crockpot Cobbler, all you need is your favorite pie filling, cake (or even muffin) mix, and butter. You can use any kind of cake mix, but I highly recommend trying it with this Cinnamon Streusel Muffin mix. I just tried this out in my latest attempt with cherry pie filling and it was ~Chef’s Kiss~!
Ingredients:
- 1 can pie filling
- 1 stick of butter, melted
- 1 boxed cake mix (or muffin mix)
Directions:
- Place pie filling into crockpot.
- Mix butter and cake mix – texture will be crumbly.
- Place cake mix mixture in crockpot over pie filling.
- Cook on low for 2-3 hours.
- Serve with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream & Enjoy!
So, if you are looking for an easy dessert for your next meal or potluck, throw this deliciousness into your crockpot and watch your family and friends rave about how amazing it is.
