North Tree Lighting at General’s Loop December 4th
Save the date for the North Side Tree Lighting Ceremony on Schofield Barracks at General’s Loop, happening on Tuesday, December 4th from 5:30pm-8:30pm! There will be live music, appearances by costumed characters, FREE pictures with Santa, a “Letters to Santa” table, and so much more! Island Palm Communities will also be there handing out FREE cookies and cocoa and there will be food and hot wine available for purchase (cash only).
We’ve been to this event every year since we’ve been stationed here and my kids love seeing the big tree get lit up after the crowd chants a countdown. I would definitely get to this event early, especially if you want to take advantage of the free pictures with Santa. That line gets long and it’s slow moving. I got there at around 5pm last year and it was worth being one of the first few people in line for pictures because we were then able to walk around and enjoy the rest of the event. The first year we got there around 5:45 and spent almost the entire time in line waiting for our free picture with Santa.
This really is a great event and I love that it’s on Post so we don’t have to drive far. It’s a fabulous way to kick-off the magical, Holiday season!
