I hope you’re having a great February so far. The year is already trucking along for us! Can you believe it’s almost Valentine’s Day? The day of sweet love and pink hearts. 😉 Valentine’s Day is on a Wednesday this year so many of you couples will be celebrating on the weekend. I have a super simple and tasty Happy Hour drink to make for your Valentine next week! Cherry Cream Sodas! Deliciously sweet and bubbly. I garnished mine with fresh cherries because they’re in season, but you can use maraschino cherries if you like. Super easy! Let’s get to the recipe!

Ingredients:

  • Smirnoff Original or Whipped Vodka
  • Tart Cherry Juice
  • Cream Soda
  • Cherries for garnish, if desired

Directions:

  • Fill a glass with ice and add the Smirnoff vodka. I added about a shot (one ounce) to each glass, but that depends on your taste preferences. If vodka isn’t your thing, try adding a shot of Captain Morgan’s white rum. YUM!
  • Add 1/2 a cup of tart cherry juice. The whipped vodka and cream soda are sweet enough to offset the tart cherry juice. It’s a great balance of sweet and tart.
  • Top the drink with 1/2 cup of cream soda. If you don’t like cream soda, you can add ginger ale or even lemon lime soda. It all works with this recipe!
  • Garnish your drink with a few fresh cherries and serve to your special Valentine this year.
