Spring cleaning can be a daunting task that will require some time and a little elbow grease, but it doesn’t have to break the bank! I’m glad I have this simple DIY recipe for an All-Purpose Cleaner that can be used in so many areas of your home (including the carpets), and the great thing is you probably already have these ingredients in your kitchen!

Supplies:

• Spray Bottle
• 1 Teaspoon of Dish Soap
• 3 Tablespoons of White Vinegar
• 2 Cups of Water

Directions:

• In a Spray Bottle, combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly.
• Grab a rag, and start cleaning!

All Rooms

• Deep clean all floors, carpets, and rugs
• Clean windows & blinds
• Clean baseboards and moldings
• Clean all doors
• Clean all vents

Living Room

• Deep clean the furniture
• Wash any blankets

Bathroom

• Replace shower curtains & bath mats
• Deep clean the sink, toilet, and tub
• Clean out & reorganize your medicines (check for expiration dates)

Kitchen & Pantry

• Clean out & declutter the cabinets
• Clean out & reorganize the pantry (check for expiration dates)
• Clean & deodorize the fridge
• Deep clean the oven & stove

Bedroom

• Clean out and organize the closets and drawers
• Deep clean the mattress

These are just a few things I like to tackle, but there are so many things you can clean. Don’t forget about your garage, cars and exterior of your homes, and even your patio furniture.

Spring cleaning is a great time to declutter so many areas! You will probably find that you even have a lot to purge along the way! While some things need to be trashed, you can also collect up the good stuff and donate them to local organizations, maybe you even have a place like that on your installation!
