The kiddos are out of school and enjoying family vacations, camps, or simply spending time at home in the backyard. While the kids are out of school, we all know they LOVE to snack, at least mine does! It seems like every hour she is asking for a snack. Why not make them something they love? These delicious popsicles are great for those hot days outside, by the pool, or simply relaxing in the backyard. This recipe only calls for a few ingredients, two of which are loved by a majority of kiddos!

There are two different ways you can make this recipe. I chose to use Gatorade in mine, because it’s my daughter’s favorite summer beverage.

INGREDIENTS:

• 1 Bottle of Blue Gatorade
• 1 Large Bags of Swedish Fish
• Ice Pop Molds

Directions:

1. Place 2-3 Swedish Fish into each mold. (I used mini Swedish Fish so it took 6-7)
2. Pour the Gatorade over the Swedish Fish, filling each Ice Pop Mold
3. Place the tops on the Ice Pop Molds and freeze them until they become FIRM – takes about 3-4 hours
4. Enjoy your “Under the Sea Ice Pops”

Remember, involving your kids when making these can be such a FUN experience! Kids imagination’s are constantly growing and changing. Making these popsicles can teach them how to measure ingredients as well as how to make things. Also, while they eat these yummy treats, they get to watch the popsicles melt and eat the delicious Swedish Fish!

SUMMERTIME IS HERE! The kiddos are out of school, and all the summer time events are in high gear! What comes with summer? Warm weather and those sun rays! Lets talk about some summer safety tips for the little ones!

2. Sunscreen, yes we are all too familiar with this! When outside the majority of the day, those sun rays can take a toll on your baby’s skin! Generously apply sun screen at least every 2 hours to your baby’s skin, especially when they are sweating or swimming!
3. Hydration is key! Bottles and sippy cups, OH MY! Lets keep as much fluids in these little ones as possible, especially when they are outside sweating. Making sure they always have access to something to drink, can help keep your little one hydrated in the sun! Popsicle’s also work well too, they are not just a snack! Popsicle’s can be homemade, out of Gatorade for example, to keep the little ones hydrated!
4. Ever seen those wide-brimmed hats in stores? Yes, they make baby/toddler ones! These hats, contain SPF, and can help with keeping your little one protected from those sun rays! Also, lets the little ones have shade over their faces, so they can see better without squinting; their eyes are sensitive just like us adults.
5. Sun canopies. These contraptions are great for all members of the family! But, they are amazing for the little ones. If you need some shade for the babies or toddlers, sun canopies are a great go-to! What if you are out and its nap time, but your at the beach or lake all day, SUN CANOPY! Pricing may vary on these, BUT, they can be well worth the money!!
