Football season is in full swing, and we got a winning combination of recipes that your family and friends will love. Whether your taste buds crave something savory or sweet; we’ve got a treat for you. We have four tasty recipes that are super easy to make, and they feature some of your favorite Nabisco cookies and crackers.

Our first recipe is a fun charcuterie board and of course no football watch party is complete without nachos. We have a spin on two versions of nachos that will ‘wow’ the crowd. One is sure to be a hit as a vegetarian option and the other features everyone’s favorite: Buffalo Chicken! Don’t worry… when it comes to dessert we’ve merged two classics: brownies & chocolate chip cookies and made a delightful creation. All these recipes are quick, easy and delicious. The only thing you’ll need to worry about is your team winning the big game!

Sweet and Salty Charcuterie Board

Prep Time: 15 min Total Time: 15 min Makes: 4 servings

Ingredients

Colby and Monterey Jack cheese

Thinly sliced deli-style roasted turkey breast

RITZ Crackers

TRISCUIT Crackers

WHEAT THINS Original Snacks

OREO Cookies

CHIPS AHOY! Cookies

cheddar cheese spread

lightly salted mixed nuts

ready-to-eat chocolate pudding

seedless green grapes

strawberries

sliced bell peppers

Preparation

Place cheese, meat, crackers, WHEAT THINS and cookies on a large board or platter.

Add small bowls filled with cheese spread, nuts and pudding to the board.

Fill in spaces on the board with grapes, strawberries and peppers.

For the savory elements of your board, use a guideline of 1 oz. cheese or 2 Tbsp. cheese spread, 1/2 oz. meat, 1 oz. (or labeled serving size) of crackers* per person. For the sweet treats on your board, use a guideline of 2 cookies and 2 Tbsp. pudding for dipping per person. For a well-balanced board, fill in the empty spaces on the board with whole or cut-up fresh fruits and veggies.

*Serving size of RITZ Crackers is 1/2 oz.

Tip

How to Make Football-Topped Cookies and Crackers

Melt 1 oz. semi-sweet baking chocolate as directed on the package. Spread into football shapes on tops of 2 EACH of the CHIPS AHOY! Cookies, OREO Cookies and RITZ Crackers. Let stand for 20 mins. or until the chocolate is firm. Decorate each with 1 tsp. white decorating icing to resemble laces on footballs. Let stand until the icing is firm.

TRISCUIT Avocado Toast Nachos

Prep Time: 20 min Total Time: 20 min Makes: 8 servings, 3 topped crackers each

The days are shorter, the air is crisper, and Friday Night Lights are illuminating the local high

school fields. I have been waiting all year for football season and it is finally here. Though we

will not be tailgating like years past at the local high school, college, or national games, we have

found that tailgating at home can be even better!

Our family is from the Philadelphia area and is full of diehard Eagles fans. We take our football

seriously and our tailgating even more so. The food is always phenomenal and the comradery is

beyond comparison. Since traveling to Philadelphia rarely happens, and with the pandemic still

putting social gatherings back on hold, we have become practically experts on tailgating in our

driveway and living room. Just picture it- a blowup screen, projector, and corn hole in the drive,

while the master griller (aka my spouse) cooks up something yummy.

This season we plan on having virtual tailgating with all of our family and friends as we stream

the games. I have menus planned out for each game with the typical Philly staples- cheesesteaks, soft pretzels, Chickie & Pete’s fries. But I wanted to add something different to satisfy our sweet tooth (and if you know me, I have the biggest sweet tooth ever). So, I looked to my favorite cookie inspiration and found an incredible recipe for Rocky Road OREO Brownies.

Football season is practically here! Can you hear the roar of the crowds, or smell the scent of the turf? Well, probably not this year as most of the college and professional teams are airing on the side of caution with “spectatorless” games during these uncertain times. There is one thing that is certain- watching from the comfort of your own home with some good food!

I love sitting down to a nice spread as we watch our favorite teams go head to head. Our weekends usually start off with a Bloody Mary and I have found the perfect snack to accompany our go-to beverage of choice. With the tang of the horseradish and saltiness from the Triscuits, I give this delectable snack two foam fingers up!

“Bloody Mary” Roasted Tomato Topper

Ingredients

12 EACH small red and yellow cherry tomatoes

1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

1 Tbsp. plus 1/4 tsp. hot pepper sauce, divided

4 oz. Neufchatel cheese, softened

1/2 tsp. celery seed

1/2 tsp. prepared horseradish

24 TRISCUIT Crackers

Instructions

HEAT oven to 400°F.

TOSS tomatoes with Worcestershire sauce and 1 Tbsp. hot pepper sauce in a shallow baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.

BAKE 20 min., stirring after 10 min. Cool.

MIX Neufchatel, celery seed, horseradish, and remaining hot pepper sauce until blended; spread onto crackers.

TOP with tomatoes.

Some of you may not know, but I am originally from the Philadelphia area and am somewhat of a cheesesteak connoisseur of sorts. Whether we are watching Temple take on their weekly foe or chanting “E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!”, we always have a cheesesteak on our plate. Moving from state to state, it has been harder and harder to find a good cheesesteak, so I have taken it upon myself to try new recipes and make them at home. My husband loves these bite-sized cheesesteak snacks on game day. The best part is, you can customize them to your own taste! Follow the recipe below or have them “wit” or “witout”.

Cheese Steak RITZwich

Ingredients

36 RITZ Crackers, divided

1/4 cup chopped onions

1/4 cup chopped green peppers

3 slices frozen thinly sliced beef steak, torn into small pieces

2 Tbsp. NABISCO EASY CHEESE Cheddar Pasteurized Cheese Snack

Instructions

PLACE 18 crackers, top sides down, on large tray or platter.

COOK and stir onions and peppers in a large nonstick skillet on medium heat 1 to 2 min. or until crisp-tender.

ADD meat; cook 2 to 3 min. or until heated through, stirring frequently.

PLACE crackers in a single layer on a tray; top with meat mixture and cheese snack. Cover with remaining crackers, top sides up, to make 18 sandwiches.

Personally, I loved them without the peppers and add some American Cheese, but everyone has their own tastes. So try them out for yourself!

Whether you are watching the game from home or having a proper socially distant tailgate gathering with a few close friends, good food is always a must. Just be sure to head down to your local commissary before game day and grab all your ingredients for these delicious treats.

“I don’t always scream at my television, but when I do, it’s football season!!” -Unknown

Are you ready for some football?! Fall is right around the corner, and with Fall comes good ole’ family and friends time! To some, Game Day means tailgating, to others it means eating yummy snacks, appetizers, finger foods, or even different types of meats. Whether your meal plan is large or small, NABISCO has delicious ideas for you!

Jalapeño Poppers have always been an ultimate go to! If you don’t like too much spicy flavor, you can scrape out all the seeds; however if you like the spicy flavor, you can keep the seeds in the pepper!

Jalapeño Poppers

Ingredients

24 fresh jalapeño peppers (about 2 lb.)

1 pkg. (8 oz.) brick cream cheese, softened

1 pkg. (8 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese

8 slices cooked bacon, crumbled

1/4 cup flour

2 eggs, beaten

40 RITZ Crackers, finely crushed (about 1-2/3 cups)

2 cups oil

Instructions

CUT lengthwise slit in top of each pepper; scrape out seeds and veins. Combine next 3 ingredients; spoon into peppers.

ROLL peppers in flour; dip in eggs, then roll in cracker crumbs to evenly coat. Place in single layer in shallow pan. Refrigerate 15 min.

It is that time of year again, football season! And in our house, we have a major battle of the teams. So every weekend we gear up and have friends over to enjoy the game. And let’s be honest, what refreshment goes better with the football game then a delicious plateful of nachos paired with some refreshing Coca-Cola. So while looking for fun, new snacks, I came across a great nacho popcorn recipe at www.coke.com/playpauserefresh for Chicken and Mexican Street Corn Nachos! These delicious nachos combine corn, blue tortilla chips, and corn, then topped with a tasty mixture of cheese. It is the perfect snack to pair with our delicious Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, DASANI, and Powerade.

Ingredients:

• 2 tablespoon butter

• 3 cups fresh or frozen corn

• 2 teaspoon chili powder

• 2 tablespoons mayo

• 1 (9-oz.) bag blue corn tortilla chips 2 cups pulled rotisserie chicken

• 8 ounces shredded Monterey Jack cheese

• 2 tablespoons sour cream

• 1 lime, cut into wedges

• 1⁄4 cup Cotija cheese (or can use feta cheese) 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro

What to do:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt the butter in a heavy bottomed or cast-iron skillet over medium high heat. Add the corn and chili powder and allow corn to char slightly before stirring. Remove from heat and stir in mayo.

Place tortilla chips on a baking sheet in an even layer and sprinkle with chicken and shredded cheese. Bake for 7-10 minutes or until cheese is melted.

While the chips are baking, whisk together sour cream and lime juice from half of the lime wedges.

Arrange tortilla-chicken and cheese mixture on a large serving platter. Top tortilla chips with corn mixture, cojita and cilantro. Drizzle with the sour cream mixtures. Serve with remaining lime wedges.

These nachos are the absolute perfect snack for the big game! Between 4 adults we had more than enough and continued to snack on them throughout the game. So if you are looking for something tasty for your next football party, these Chicken and Mexican Street Corn Nachos are a must!!
