There are many reasons that drive their fear. Leaving behind their pets shouldn’t be one of them. Did you know that only 20% of domestic violence shelters allow pets? That’s why Purina developed the Purple Leash Project. 

This initiative is so special! The Purple Leash Project is helping domestic violence shelters become pet friendly so survivors don’t have to make the hard decision of choosing their safety over their pets. They have a goal of providing one million safe nights for domestic abuse survivors and their pets by the end of 2030.

The color purple represents Domestic Violence Awareness, while the purple leash symbolizes the extraordinary unbreakable bond between pets and their people. There are a variety of ways you can show your support such as getting involved in your community and donating. Let’s come together for this amazing cause.
