Alright everyone, it’s the middle of January! How are you holding up? Hopefully, you are all still sticking to your new year’s resolutions and it’s going strong! Way to go! If you have been missing your weekly happy hour time, I have great news for you! How about a low calorie, low fat refreshing White Wine Spritzer to sip on this weekend? Sounds GREAT to me! As long as you stick with white wine as it has the least amount of calories. Plan ahead so you can stick to those healthy resolutions!
White Wine Spritzer
- White Wine, I chose a Pinot Grigio
- Sparkling Water, this can be flavored (Just keep an eye out for artificial sweeteners!) I chose Lime
- Fresh berries of your choice. You can also use frozen, which will keep your wine nice and chilled!
This recipe is super easy to bring together. Pour about 2 ounces of wine into your glass and then top it with the sparkling water. If you’re not measuring (I never measure, haha!) It’s about 1/4 cup of wine and 3/4 cups of the delicious bubbly water. You can always adjust these measurements to fit your flavor preferences, of course!
Top your white wine spritzer with fresh sliced berries. I used strawberries because they’re beautiful and just naturally sweet. They really pair nicely with a drier white wine. The lime sparkling water is delicious!
There you have it! A low calorie, low fat white wine spritzer. Enjoy it and relax this weekend knowing you aren’t blowing all your new year’s resolutions out of the window. You deserve to treat yourself once and awhile! 😉
