Prefer to shop on base? Military families can prepare for the back-to-school shopping season with double the savings on back-to-school essentials at Army & Air Force Exchange Service stores during their state’s sales tax holiday.

During states’ tax-free holidays beginning July 19, the Department of Defense’s largest retailer is giving military shoppers an added discount equal to their local sales tax rate in addition to the military exclusive, tax-free benefit. For example, if the state sales tax is 6%, the Exchange will offer an additional 6% off the purchase price!
