It’s that time of year folks! What are you favorite flavors? Pumpkin spice, Gingerbread, peppermint mocha? This is probably my favorite, all the holiday flavors come out and excuse to drink them all!
Ingredients:
- 1⁄4 cup granulated sugar
- 1⁄4 cup water
- 1⁄4 tsp. peppermint extract
- 3 Tbsp. cocoa powder
- 3 Tbsp. warm water
- 1⁄2 cup strong coffee
- 1 1⁄2 cup steamed milk
Directions:
- Make the Peppermint Syrup:
- Add water and sugar to a small saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Add the peppermint extract and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Prepare the Mocha:
- Mix the cocoa powder and water in your favorite mug.
- Add the coffee.
- Add 1 1⁄2 tsp. of peppermint syrup (or more, if desired).
- Add the milk.
- Serve immediately with whipped cream and your favorite toppings.
Want to change this up a bit, fill a cup with ice and pour your drink over the ice for a fun and tasty variation! Not only is this recipe super easy and delicious, it is great for a single cup or multiply the recipe for a gathering!
