Operation Brain Freeze: Mission-Frosty Barrel Slushie

Fall is coming and I am so excited! As if I need an excuse to get my favorite Ninja SLUSHi Slushie Machine out! You all know I love any opportunity I can find to make a SLUSHi for my family! I don’t need a holiday to make this tasty treat, so grab your favorite Root Beer and let’s upgrade the traditional soda shop favorite!

Supplies:

Ingredients:

  • Root Beer
  • Diet Root Beer
  • Sweet Cream Coffee Creamer
  • Vanilla Ice Cream

Directions:

  1. Pour in your Root Beer.
  2. Turn on and choose the Slush mode.
  3. Once the Slush cycle is complete, dispense into your favorite cup.
  4. Serve
    • Option 1- Grab your favorite coffee creamer and froth. Top the slush with cold foam.
    • Option 2 – Grab your favorite vanilla ice cream and add to slush.
  5. Enjoy!

Notes:

  • I did 1/2 Diet Root Beer and 1/2 Regular. You need to have the sugar from the regular to ensure that the machine is properly able to slush the drink mixture.
  • Fun Fact: National Root Beer Float day is August 6th! So, there is an actual holiday where you could make this!

I know it’ll be hard to top this installment of Operation Brain Freeze, because it has been SODA-lightful. I hope your family had as much fun with this Root Beer Float twist as we did. Whether you topped it with Ice Cream or Cold Foam, I know that this will have all your friends and family begging for a refill!
