Do you have a gift ready for your child’s teacher? Or a gift for a dear friend? If you don’t have a gift yet and you want to make a personal gift that won’t break the bank but is made from the heart, I’ve got a great idea for you!
Here’s a special Valentine’s Day craft for you!
I purchased the items at a local one price store. You can pick up the Conversation Heart candy at your local Exchange or commissary!
Here’s what you’ll need:
4 boxes of Conversation Hearts
Hot Glue/Glue Gun
Smooth glass or votive candle holder
Spray sealant (I used one with glitter!)
This craft is super easy. Prepare your hot glue gun by letting it sit for a bit and get real hot. Adult supervision is required for for this craft. My son is just now getting the hang of using a hot glue gun, he’s 8.
I went up and down with the hearts. I would put down a line of glue then quickly add the hearts. Continue this until you’ve got hearts all around the cup. It’s very important that you use a smooth glass so the candy will stick.
Pretty easy right? After the candy is on the glass spray a nice coat of sealant over the candy covered cup. I used one with glitter. I would recommend two good coats.
Hope you have time to pick up the supplies and that the recipient loves it!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
