Make Your Own Cookie Cakes: Fall Edition

I remember taking trips to the mall as a teenager, and one of the stops I would always make would be to the bakery that sold cookie cakes. Even as an adult, whenever I see a cookie cake, it brings back memories. I’m so happy that I’ve learned to recreate some of my favorite treats at home, and I must say…it’s much easier than you might think. All you really need is a baking mold, your favorite cookie dough, some frosting or melting chocolate, and your choice of decorations.

While the traditional cookie cakes are rather large; we are sharing a recipe that allows you to make individual servings that are perfect for sharing. I actually love making these around the holidays and gifting them to my co-workers and neighbors. These are great any time of year as you can customize them any way you like.

Supplies:

Ingredients:

  • Cookie Dough
  • Melting chocolate or frosting
  • Sprinkles

Directions:

  • Place softened cookie dough into molds and press to form the shape of the mold.
  • Place baking molds on a cookie sheet and bake as directed.
  • Once done baking, remove cookies from mold and allow to cool.
  • While cookies are cooling, melt chocolate and spoon into the baking molds.
  • Place the cooled cookies on top of the melted chocolate and chill for 10 minutes to harden the chocolate.
  • Carefully remove the cookies from the mold and set aside.
  • Decorate the cookies with frosting or sprinkles.
  • Enjoy!

These may almost be too pretty to eat, but we think you will gobble them up. A batch of these cookies are perfect on a cool fall day…especially with a warm mug of cocoa. Be sure to grab all the ingredients at your local Commissary and enjoy.
