Crockpot Mountain Dew Ham with Pineapples & Cherries

Oh My YUM!  That is what you will be saying when you try this Crock-pot Mountain Dew Ham with Pineapples & Cherries!  This is a family favorite in my house.  Even my picky kiddo loves ham!

What I love the most about this recipe is how simple it is.  It only takes a few minutes to prep, and then you walk away!  Later on, magically your dinner is ready to go, and you don’t have to heat up your oven.

What You Need:

  • Ham Butt (most Shanks wont fit in your crock-pot)
  • Can of Pineapple
  • Jar of Maraschino Cherries
  • 2 Small Cans of Mountain Dew (7.5 oz Mini Cans)
  • Brown Sugar

Instructions:

1 – Line your crock-pot for easy cleanup.

2 –  Add full can of pineapple, including all of the juice.

3 – Add the cherries & a couple spoons of the cherry juice.

4 – Add 2 mini cans of Mountain Dew.

5 – Place the ham down on top of the cherries and pineapples, and then add brown sugar around the whole ham.

6 – Cook on high for 4-5 hours or low on 6-8 hours (times vary based on ham size).  You can verify that it is done by placing a meat thermometer in the thickest part of the ham to get 140° for an internal temp.

7 – The ham is fully cooked (when done, it starts to pull away from the bone).

8 – Carefully remove the ham.

9 – Carefully remove the fruit.

9 – Slice the ham & serve with your favorite sides, including some cherries & pineapples. YUM!
