“I don’t always scream at my television, but when I do, it’s football season!!” -Unknown

Are you ready for some football?! Fall is right around the corner, and with Fall comes good ole’ family and friends time! To some, Game Day means tailgating, to others it means eating yummy snacks, appetizers, finger foods, or even different types of meats. Whether your meal plan is large or small, NABISCO has delicious ideas for you!

Jalapeño Poppers have always been an ultimate go to! If you don’t like too much spicy flavor, you can scrape out all the seeds; however if you like the spicy flavor, you can keep the seeds in the pepper!

Jalapeño Poppers

Ingredients

24 fresh jalapeño peppers (about 2 lb.)

1 pkg. (8 oz.) brick cream cheese, softened

1 pkg. (8 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese

8 slices cooked bacon, crumbled

1/4 cup flour

2 eggs, beaten

40 RITZ Crackers, finely crushed (about 1-2/3 cups)

2 cups oil

Instructions

CUT lengthwise slit in top of each pepper; scrape out seeds and veins. Combine next 3 ingredients; spoon into peppers.

ROLL peppers in flour; dip in eggs, then roll in cracker crumbs to evenly coat. Place in single layer in shallow pan. Refrigerate 15 min.

HEAT oil in medium saucepan to 375ºF. Add peppers, in batches; cook 3 min. or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Serve warm.

Next on the list is a recipe for Wings! Did you know that wings are amongst the top of Game Day foods? Wings are a great finger food to enjoy that can be quick and easy! NABISCO has a great recipe for some wings that involves RITZ Crackers.
