Love, Laughs, and Lady Power: Your Guide to the Ultimate Galentine’s Day Bash

Ladies, if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that February isn’t just for romance—it’s for celebrating the incredible women in your life. Enter Galentine’s Day…the ultimate excuse to gather your girls, sip on something bubbly, and remind each other why you’re all amazing. Last year, I hosted my first-ever Galentine’s Day bash, and it was such a hit that I’m already planning the next one. Let me walk you through how I made it unforgettable.

First up: the vibe. I wanted the night to feel festive, but chill, so I leaned into a pink-and-red color palette. Think heart-shaped balloons, twinkle lights, and a sprinkle of glitter on every surface. I even went all out with personalized “Gal Pal” name cards at the table. (Yes, Pinterest may have been involved.) Oh, and don’t forget a killer playlist—mine was a mix of Lizzo, Beyoncé, and classic 90s girl power anthems.

Then, there was the food. Because nothing says “I love you” like carbs, I did a build-your-own-pizza bar. I laid out dough, sauces, and all the toppings, and we got creative. One of my friends made a heart-shaped pizza, which immediately won the night. For dessert, I set up a chocolate fondue station with strawberries, marshmallows, and pretzels. Messy? Sure. Delicious? Absolutely.

Next: cocktails (and mocktails). I mixed up a signature drink I dubbed “Love You Berry Much,” made with rosé, cranberry juice, and fresh berries. For the non-drinkers, sparkling water with a splash of pomegranate juice did the trick. Bonus points for serving everything in fancy glasses.

Now, for the real fun: activities. We kicked things off with a hilarious round of “Who Knows Her Best?” trivia, where I quizzed everyone about funny facts from our friendships. Then came DIY crafting. I set up a station with blank cards, markers, and stickers, so we could make Valentine’s cards for each other. The sentimental ones had us tearing up; the funny ones (like “You’re my favorite bad influence”) had us howling with laughter.

The night ended with a movie marathon—Bridesmaids and Legally Blonde, obviously—and a lot of group selfies under a garland that said “You’re the Best.”

If you’ve never hosted a Galentine’s Day, trust me, you need to. It’s all about love, laughter, and reminding your besties that they’re the real MVPs of your life. Cheers to friendship and all the fabulous women who make life brighter!
