Oreo Chewy Bars

It’s finally Friday and we’ve survived another week of our back to school schedule! Whew! To treat my boys (and myself!) this Foodie Friday, I decided to whip up some Oreo Chewy Bars! These are just like those yummy krispy treats, but with OREOS! You can never go wrong with Oreos! Even better, this recipe only has 3 ingredients and no baking. It’s so easy! Run to the commissary and grab your ingredients today!

Oreo Chewy Bars

  • 1 package of Oreo cookies
  • 1 package of Kraft jumbo marshmallows
  • 4 tablespoons of butter

Using a food processor, chop your oreos into a crumbly mess. 😉 If you don’t have a food processor, you can place the cookies in a large bag and crush them with a rolling pin or something heavy.

I like to spray my spatula with cooking spray before using it with anything sticky. It is a little trick I’ve been doing for years. Try it and you will be amazed!! You can also spray the bowl to keep the melted marshmallows from sticking to that as well! Melt the marshmallows and butter in a bowl in the microwave. It should take between 1 1/2 – 2 minutes. Stir to mix and then add the Oreo crumbs. So easy!

Line an 8×8 baking dish with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray. Spread the Oreo mixture in and let it sit for at least 10 minutes.

When it comes time to cut them, just lift the aluminum foil out and cut! Another easy trick I’ve learned along the way.

My boys LOVE these bars! They are ooey, gooey, soft, and chewy! Yum! They make a great after school snack or dessert. They may also be delicious with coffee, but you didn’t hear that from me! 😉
