Welcome back to another Fun Foodie Friday and what’s more fun than mini sandwiches? Nothing! 😉 These baked sliders are ALL over Pinterest lately! So many different ones too, like roast beef and baked ham and cheese. They are delicious! I switched things up a bit and made a super fun Pizza Slider that will easily feed a crowd. You can even serve these at your Big Game party this weekend!
Baked Pizza Sliders
- 12 Mini Dinner Rolls, I love the Hawaiian rolls
- 12 slices of Mozzarella Cheese
- 1 Package of Pepperoni. I didn’t count the pepperoni slices, but you can use as much or as little as you’d like
- 1/2 cup Pizza Sauce
- 1 stick of Butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon each of the following spices: Oregano, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Salt, Parsley
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan Cheese
To begin, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9×13 dish with non-stick cooking spray. Take the rolls out of the package and slice them in half, keeping them together so you have one large bottom and one large top of a sandwich.
Spread the pizza sauce over the bottom half of the sliders. Top with six slices of mozzarella cheese, one layer of pepperoni, and the other six slices of cheese. SO EASY!
Mix the butter, spices, and parmesan cheese in a small bowl. Using a brush, gently brush the yummy butter mixture over the tops of the sliders. It’s plenty of butter so be sure to get in the cracks and around the edges. This is where the flavor comes from!
Look at that buttery concoction!
Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool slightly and then using a spatula, cut the sandwiches and serve!
I kept it classic with just cheese and pepperoni, but you can absolutely add your favorite pizza toppings in between the cheese layers! I think crumbled sausage and mushrooms would be phenomenal!
You’re probably going to need to double or triple this recipe, guys. Even my 6 year old came back for thirds saying, “I didn’t think they’d be THAT good. You know I hate pepperoni!” 😀
These sliders are super easy to whip up for a quick dinner or party appetizer. Even an after school snack if you have hungry hungry kiddos in the kitchen. 😉
The flavor possibilities are endless! They’d be great with a meatball in each slider or you could really switch it up with BBQ sauce, shredded chicken, and pineapple rings! YUM! You can switch out the herbs and spices in the butter to fit your flavor profiles as well. SO easy and I love a recipe that’s so customizable!
