Good day, young readers!
February has been a busy month! We have had a few snow days here, which means more time for online game playing, and of course, reading! There are some outstanding books that we have had in the past, and there are even more upcoming!
This month we are reading Harriet the Spy by Louise Fitzhugh. Figure out how to become a spy and discover the hilarity that Harriet goes through. Our next book will be a bit different and is told from the perspective of animals. I enjoy finding new books to share, and this one will be an interesting adventure.
For March, we will be reading Watership Down by Richard Adams. It was written in 1975, is considered a classic, and has won several awards. Get ready for a fun read and a different type of adventure.
Watership Down Blurb from Goodreads:
Set in England’s Downs, a once idyllic rural landscape, this stirring tale of adventure, courage and survival follows a band of very special creatures on their flight from the intrusion of man and the certain destruction of their home. Led by a stouthearted pair of friends, they journey forth from their native Sandleford Warren through the harrowing trials posed by predators and adversaries, to a mysterious promised land and a more perfect society.
