So I’ve been trying to find little quick recipes that I can do with the kids. I stumbled across an easy beer bread recipe, that in the extras at the end stated that you could use any 12oz carbonated drink so I decided to give it a whirl with a can of Pepsi. The recipe is simple and you probably have everything you need on hand.
Ingredients:
-3 cups of self-rising flour
-3 tablespoons of sugar
-1 12oz can of Pepsi
First, get a large bowl and put in your self-rising flour. To the flour add you sugar and mix.
Next, add you Pepsi.
Take a spoon and mix, making sure to incorporate all the flour. This will produce a sticky dough.
After thoroughly mixed add batter to a greased bread pan.
Place pan in the oven for 45-55minutes or until the center is done. Once done pull out of the oven and out of bread pan and enjoy.
I must say the bread passed the family test and I could taste a bit of the Pepsi flavor. I have some left so I think I may use it for french toast in the morning. I think the flavor would enhance my french toast. This bread can be used for sandwhiches or cut into pieces to eat with your favorite dip. My favorite thing about this recipe is its simplicity.
