RebeccaWelcome to summer! We have had a bit of a crazy year so far, but thankfully, we have an escape into books! This month, we are letting the queen of mystery, Agatha Christie, take us through the Mysterious Affair At Styles. It is bound to keep you on the edge of your seat, waiting to see what will happen next.
In July, we are going to take a bit of a different journey. We are going to take to the sea with the “Life of Pi” by Yann Martel and undertake an adventure that not many would survive. We are going to start in India, and then let the adventure float us through the rest of the pages.
While we are hoping that by the beginning of July, we can get outside with friends more, reading can be one way to beat the heat. Join us in the book club and read it with friends. Let’s get ready for a fantastic summer with books!
Summary of the Life of Pi
Life of Pi is a fantasy adventure novel by Yann Martel published in 2001. The protagonist, Piscine Molitor “Pi” Patel, a Tamil boy from Pondicherry, explores issues of spirituality and practicality from an early age. He survives 227 days after a shipwreck while stranded on a boat in the Pacific Ocean with a Bengal tiger named Richard Parker.
