September has rolled in, bringing school days along with it. Some of us started in August, but the rest of us are going back in the next few days. As we balance our school days with our afternoon extracurricular activities, it is still important to leave time for reading! Reading has been shown to help in so many areas such as comprehension, critical thinking, problem-solving, increased imagination, and spelling.
Reading is one of those fabulous adventures that we can take whenever the mood strikes us. If you are keeping a reading passport, I am sure that you have visited some great locations! We will continue adding new adventures as we work through the many great books that are out there. I have so many that I cannot wait to share with you!
This month, we are reading Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt. It promises to be a great book, and I think that ya’ll will enjoy the adventure it contains. However, as we start one book, it is time to announce our next one – so you have time to get your copy and prepare to read with us in October. We will be diving into Magyk by Angie Sage, which is the first in a series of great reads!
