Cheesy Bacon Pull Apart Bread

Between holiday parties, generous neighbors and baking our own family favorites, sometimes my sweet tooth needs a break. That’s where savory breads come into play. They help break up the sugar overload and instead create a perfect sweet and savory balance. This particular loaf is always a crowd favorite and disappears quickly. Served alongside a veggie platter it makes for the perfect party dish.

You will need…

  • One loaf of frozen bread dough (or use your favorite homemade bread recipe.)
  • One pack of bacon, cooked for 5 mins and diced into bite size pieces (approximately 12 slices)
  • 1 cup cheese (any cheese mic will work, I like mozzarella or cheddar)
  • One, 1-ounce pack of dry ranch seasoning
  • 2 TBSP Olive oil

Start by rolling your dough out into a half inch rectangle. Using a pizza cutter cut into strips lengthwise then cut again across to create bite size pieces. Then with a pastry brush, use some of the olive oil brush it over every piece. Toss the pieces into a bowl with the bacon, cheese, and ranch seasoning.

Add the remaining olive oil and with your hands mix it all up! Dump it into a greased bundt pan. And if you don’t have a bundt pan don’t worry, just pile it into a circular mound on a foil lined sheet pan.Bake at 350 for 15 mins, then cover with foil and check after 30 mins to see if dough is cooked all the way through. Let cool for 15 mins, then using a spatula loosen the edges and flip.

There you have a yummy, bacon-nee, cheesy, delicious, savory bread perfect for an appetizer or side dish! ENJOY!
