Enjoy Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince With Us Now

Happy July young readers! Summer is now in full swing, and we are enjoying the many different activities, as much as possible with Covid. During the summer heat, we have to have some downtime and quiet. Reading is a great way to fill the time, and keep your eyes from becoming strained from video games. This month, we are reading The Sword In The Stone, and finding all the magic with Arthur and Merlin.

While we hope July does not fly by to quickly, August is going to be here soon, and that means a new book! For the month of August, we are going to read “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” by J.K. Rowling. We have already gone through several of the books, and its time to continue with the story of Harry and his friends! Let’s keep our adventures going!

Goodreads Excerpt of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince:

The war against Voldemort is not going well; even Muggle governments are noticing. Ron scans the obituary pages of the Daily Prophet, looking for familiar names. Dumbledore is absent from Hogwarts for long stretches of time, and the Order of the Phoenix has already suffered losses.

And yet . . .

As in all wars, life goes on. The Weasley twins expand their business. Sixth-year students learn to Apparate – and lose a few eyebrows in the process. Teenagers flirt and fight and fall in love. Classes are never straightforward, through Harry receives some extraordinary help from the mysterious Half-Blood Prince.

So it’s the home front that takes center stage in the multilayered sixth installment of the story of Harry Potter. Here at Hogwarts, Harry will search for the full and complete story of the boy who became Lord Voldemort – and thereby find what may be his only vulnerability.
