Gentleman’s Sour

Summer is quickly winding down. Too soon, the Friday night get together’s will be no more. Back to school crazy, and fall activities will overtake the lazy weekend plans that we held over the warmer months. BUT THEY ARE NOT GONE YET! We will have a handful of these weekends left! We are planning the last minute bbq’s, or even getting ready to say goodbye to some close friends. We never want summer to end.

Don’t mourn the loss of summer to quickly! There is a drink that will have you enjoying the last days of summer, and ringing in the start of fall! Whatever time of year you choose to have this delicious beverage, you can pretend it is still summer! I love a good sour drink, and this one really hit the spot. I was a little sad when I hit Class Six and my favorite mixes were out, but my mood quickly turned around when this recipe was recommended. Oh my goodness! What a great choice!

I cannot wait to have our friends over to try this concoction! So easy to put together, and definitely a smooth flavor. I just found my new favorite drink! What You Need

• 2 oz Gentleman Jack
• ¾ oz Lemon juice
• ½ oz Simple syrup
• Dash of bitters
• Lemon wedge garnish

Instructions

1. 1/2 fill a cocktail shaker with cubed ice
2. Add all ingredients and shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds
3. 1/2 fill a rocks glass with cubed ice
4. Strain the liquid into the glass
5. Add lemon wedge to garnish
