Happy Independence day weekend!! The time for our celebrations are about to kick off, and I have been busy in the kitchen getting everything prepped and perfecting my recipes. I was trying to find something that would be the center of my dessert table, and I stumbled on this idea from the Food Network. I tweaked it a bit to create what I wanted, but it came out delicious! I am wanting to create an entire Red, White and Blue feast, and these Patriotic Mini Cheesecakes really hit the spot!
I absolutely LOVE the 4th of July! This is the holiday of all holidays for me! I spend a good month pulling together decorations, party ideas, and planning the perfect menu – of course adding in our friends to come and celebrate with us. I have streamers, the larger flag has been put up outside, yard decorations, front door decorations, and of course, confetti for the tables. The 4th of July tops Christmas for me. It has been that way since I was a child, but after serving in the military, it means even more to me. We are going to celebrate in epic style this year!
What you will need:
- Philadelphia Cheesecake Filling
- Keebler Mini Crusts
- Blueberries and Raspberries
- Whipped Topping
Directions:
- Allow cheesecake to soften for about 20 minutes on the countertop
- Use a large tablespoon to fill the mini crusts
- Smooth the tops of the filling, and then add fruit. Cut your raspberries in half and lay them out as the red stripes on your flag. Use four blueberries to create the blue field. Add small puffs of whipped topping to portray the stars.
Now you can enjoy a delicious and patriotic dessert on this 4th of July! Get creative and share your patriotic desserts with us!
