Pepsi BBQ Sauce

Grilling season has arrived! Burgers, hot dogs, ribs, and everything in between, we grill a lot in our house. We love to grill to entertain and just for us a lot of nights as well. South Texas is known for its hot weather, but the nights here are usually great. So sitting outside while the food cooks is a perfect way to end a busy day!  BBQ sauce is key when it comes to brisket, ribs, and chicken that we grill. Luckily, Pepsi has an amazing BBQ sauce recipe that has become one of our favorites! The ingredients are everything that we already keep in our house, so whipping up a bowl of sauce is super simple. Check out this tasty BBQ sauce recipe from Pepsi:

What You Need

Instructions

  1. Smash the garlic cloves, sprinkle with a generous pinch of salt and, with the flat side of a large knife, mash and smear mixture to a coarse paste.
  2. Stir garlic paste, the ¼ teaspoon salt, Pepsi, ketchup, vinegar, Worcestershire, chili powder, 1 teaspoon black pepper, ½ teaspoon hot sauce, and allspice together in a small saucepan.
  3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer until thickened, about 45 minutes.
  4. Allow to cool slightly, stir in the lime juice and season with black pepper and hot sauce, to taste.
