Rainbow Bread

I can’t think of a much more delicious smell than a house filled with the scent of homemade bread! I have a bread machine and I enjoy making my own bread at home. The bread machine takes a lot of the guess-work out of the process and allows me to customize my recipes as well. It is one of my favorite kitchen appliances, and I have A LOT of kitchen appliances :). I was feeling festive and seeing lots of fun rainbow recipes online and figured why not do this myself with my favorite basic bread recipe. So grab your bread machine and your favorite basic bread recipe and come along as we make Rainbow Bread!

Supplies:

• Bread Machine
• Food Coloring
• Stand Mixer

Ingredients:

• Basic Bread Dough
• Food Coloring

Directions:

Make your basic white bread recipe. When your machine is done with the kneading cycle pause for the next step (add in colors).

Divide your bread dough into 6 dough balls.

Add Food Coloring to each ball to make a rainbow. Mix into the dough.

***NOTE – I did use my stand mixer for this part, but you are able to knead by hand.

Combine dough in the order of the rainbow and layer together.

Roll back into a loaf.

Allow bread machine to finish the cycle.

Remove bread from the bread machine, allow to cool slightly, then slice and serve!

This fun bread recipe allows you to elevate your basic bread to another level. It will make sandwiches and toast more fun to eat for sure! I hope you have as much fun with this recipe as we did!
