The truce has been broken and the war has started again. One of the Trojan princes decides to try and shoot Menelaus down, thereby ending the war all together. His aim is true, but the arrow does not inflict serious damage. It does, however, push the Greeks back into a fury thus the ignition of war is lit.
While the war has been going for several years, the men have taken to some of the women from the area. Menelaus demands that one who currently resides in the house of Achilles be brought to his home instead. This angers Achilles who has fallen in love with the young woman. He insists that he and his men will not fight for the King as long as the young lady remains with him. Neither man refuses to yield, and thus the wars are beginning in their own camps. Meanwhile Odysseus has decided to strike a blow at the camp of the allies of Troy. He kills one of the kings and his companions, all under the noses of the entire Troy army. Hector meanwhile has taken the war to the ships of Greece. He and his men swarm the Greek camp. But the gods are not done interfering into the lives of men. Poseidon, Zeus, and Apollo are doing what they can to aid their favorites in this drama. But what else could go wrong!?
This week we are reading The Women of Troy through The Battle for the Ships
