Growing up, I was a “brat.” Well, let me clarify … my dad was in the military. Because of this, I recall and relate to all the challenges military children face today on a daily basis, such as:

• Mom or dad being deployed or TDY
• Moving every few years
• Having to adjust to a new school more than the normal kids
• Joining school in the middle of the school year…that’s the worst!
• Always having to make new friends
• It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it!

Thankfully, the military child is not overlooked as April is officially The Month of the Military Child. It is super easy to enter.  All you have to do is text PURPLE to 89884 for a chance to be the grand prize winner of a $5,000 check –OR- be one (1) of five (5) lucky first prize winners of a $1,000 check! From now until April 30th you can submit an entry once per day.
