During this time of uncertainty there is one thing that is for certain…PEOPLE LOVE their coffee, myself included.
So, I decided to get on board to this Dalgona coffee trend and see what all the hype is about!
I got my recipe from Dalgona.coffee
What you need:
2 Tablespoons Instant Coffee
2 Tablespoons Sugar (I used stevia **see note at the bottom)
2 Tablespoons of Warm water
Then a glass of iced milk (I used almond)
Whisk the 1st three ingredients together, I recommend using a mixer (I tried hand whisking but my hand got tired.)
Mix till it is nice and thick, to desired consistency dump on top of ice milk, you can mix it all in, or not, and ENJOY!
So, what did I think?
Pros
It was delicious
Tasted like a fancy coffeehouse coffee
It was fun to make, I felt like a barista
It was way cheaper than any coffee I have ever bought!
I didn’t have to leave the house to get it
Cons
It made a bit of a mess (my walls and cabinets got a taste of it too…but that may have been user error)
It took a bit to mix
Mine did not get super fluffy BUT totally could have been from the sugar I used (see note on bottom).
Overall, should you try it?!? I say go for it and let me know what you thought!
** Mine unfortunately did not get thick like I wanted it to and I believe it’s because I used stevia and not sugar 🙂
