Decorate Your Locker with this Easy Trick!

I have a middle schooler this year <gasp!> and it’s a whole new ball game, let me tell you. We went to orientation night a few weeks before school started and I came home with a headache – I can only imagine the stress on the kids themselves. New territory. New rules. Multiple classes and teachers. Wandering the hallways. Lockers!! I mean, I was there once. A loooong time ago. 😉 So you kinda forget the excitement and anxiety that comes with it all.

For the crafty kids, decorating the paper bag book covers (I know you remember that!) and decorating the lockers is where the fun is at. For the first few days of school it’s what my 6th grader looked forward to the most – being issued books and finally receiving that glorious locker. Her teachers were nothing to be excited about, she explained, but pinning pictures of her buddies and notes from her friends in her locker put a little pep in her step each morning.

There’s a hundred ways to personalize your metal storage space but I have come up with one of the absolute easiest. No kidding! The idea hit me while I was munching on one of my absolute favorite snacks – the new Club® crackers from Keebler®, Peanut Butter Bites! Side note: If you haven’t tried those things, you definitely should!! They’re so light and buttery and don’t have any artificial flavors or high fructose corn syrup. <– That’s a WINNER in my book! They’re the perfect size for snacking, my kiddos love them… they are a new staple in my pantry. ANNNND, they happen to be the perfect size for this DIY locker decor!

This is all that you need:

1

Step 1) Cut the box at an angle, as seen below.

2

Step 2) Cover with Duck Tape®.

3

Step 3) Glue magnets onto the back of the decorated box.

Step 4) Hang in your locker!

How easy is that!? It’s a perfect size for pens and pencils, a notepad for messages to friends… or you could even separate the peanut butter crackers into snack-sized bags and store them in the box to grab on the go between classes! Now THAT’S a great idea!!

Head to your commissary and grab these NEW Club® Peanut Butter Bites from Keebler® while you can. Then craft it up with your pre-teen and help make their locker space feel more like home!
