DIY THREE STEP Baby Blanket!

I don’t know about ya’ll, but these days I do not have a lot of free time. Having children out of school for the summer, means that my days are full of chasing neighborhood kids through my house. NOT crafting like I would prefer, but at least they are enjoying childhood, right? But while mayhem reigns in my house, friends are still having babies, and that means that gifts still need to be done! So I decided to pull out all the stops and create something simple, but still cute. This really simple THREE step blanket is quick, easy, and cost effective! Its perfect for me, as its fast, and then I can spend more time working on other things (like cleaning up after the tornadoes that tear through my house during their waking hours), and then spend more time with my family as well. They are light enough that postage is low if you are mailing out. Now, settle in and get ready for an awesome afternoon of pumping out some gifts!

What you will need:

  • One yard flannel or soft fabric
  • Scissors and pins,
  • needle and thread or sewing machine

Directions:

  • Fold your fabric in half, and cut straight even lines, making sure that you get the selvage edges off
  • Turn your sides in 1/4 inch and pin to  hold
  • Sew a straight line on all four sides

BOOM! You are done! Easy right??? This simple blanket can be done in so many different colors and patterns. Best part of this great project?? It took me 30 MINUTES! That is all! Satisfaction level is high! I love these fast projects. They make me feel accomplished!!

Cost: 5.25 for fabric, 1.25 for thread

Time: 30 minutes
