Hello, young readers! Are you ready for Spring? Spring break will be here shortly, and its time to start thinking about fun books to read!
Currently, we are reading through “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.” What a fun read it is so far! Are you reading through? If you have seen the movies, you are going to notice that there are some scenes in the book that are not in the movies. It can be fun to pinpoint what the differences are. Have you found any? Did you like them or not?
As we move toward April, its time to think about our new read! We are going to read “The Song For A Whale” which promises to be very exciting! I am looking forward to reading this book. Get a copy from your library and let’s enjoy another adventure together!
Blurb for The Song For A Whale
From fixing the class computer to repairing old radios, twelve-year-old Iris is a tech genius. But she’s the only deaf person in her school, so people often treat her like she’s not very smart. If you’ve ever felt like no one was listening to you, then you know how hard that can be.
When she learns about Blue 55, a real whale who is unable to speak to other whales, Iris understands how he must feel. Then she has an idea: she should invent a way to “sing” to him! But he’s three thousand miles away. How will she play her song for him?
