Irish Porridge with Strawberries and Vanilla

Irish Porridge Strawberries Vanilla

Irish Porridge with Strawberries and Vanilla

What You Need

  • 1 cup raw steel cut oats (regular or quick)
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries cut in half
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 8 teaspoons Benefiber® powder
  • 4 tablespoons toasted chopped walnuts
  • 2 teaspoons non hydrogenated margarine

Instructions

  1. Bring 3 cups of water to boil in a medium pot. Add salt and stir in oats, ginger, agave nectar and Benefiber.
  2. Cook oatmeal according to the oatmeal directions, mixing regularly to insure that Benefiber® is thoroughly incorporated. Stir in strawberries.
  3. Divide into serving bowls and top with spread and almonds.
